Public Health's Position on Wearing Masks for Protection
> There is a nationwide shortage of PPE including masks
> Healthcare workers need the masks more than anyone because do not have the option to be more than six feet away from people
> Those who do not work in a health care setting can get the proper protection by:
- Washing their hands
- Not touching their faces
- Staying home when possible
- Avoiding sick people
> Homemade masks can be worn but may not be effective at preventing disease. Protective steps of not touching faces or masks and keeping six feet away from others are advised.

It’s the first of the month and bills are due for many individuals, families, and businesses. If you need financial or emotional support related to the COVID-19 pandemic, visit arizonatogether.org, a collection of resources from the state aimed at connecting those who need help with those programs and people who can provide it.
Today is Census Day. Critical funding for hospitals, clinics, and other health and community services is determined by the results of Census. With the COVID-19 pandemic unfolding, it’s clear an accurate count of our population is more important than ever. A complete count means appropriate funding for those services upon which we rely so heavily during times of need. Do your part and complete your 2020 Census today. You can do it from home, online, in 10 minutes or less.

The Office of the School Superintendent has created an interactive map to help County residents find the closest school locations providing meals to children.
The Superintendent’s Office has also compiled a list of vetted and appropriate educational resources parents can use with their children. These links help inspire learning while children are out of the classroom.
The Superintendent’s Office is working with school districts and charter schools to help students without Internet and computers have access to online and digital learning opportunities.
Physical distancing doesn't have to mean social isolation. This is especially important right now for older adults. Here are a few ways you can help.
