Maricopa County updated election results at 5 p.m., about 12,000 ballots left to process
PHOENIX—The Maricopa County Elections Department updated results today at 5 p.m., and has approximately 12,000 ballots left to process for the 2018 General Election.
The number of remaining ballots reflects the removal of 8,957 provisional ballots that were deemed invalid and could not be counted for various reason, such as being cast by a voter who was not registered. For context, a table of previous election results, including the number of ballots that were not included in the final tabulation, is below:

*All of the 2018 Midterm totals are as of November 17, 2018 at 5 p.m. and are subject to change. Election officials expect tabulation to continue into the weekend, and will update the results daily at 5 p.m. until all verified votes are counted.
