Statement from Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes on Wednesday's deadline
PHOENIX—In response to recent questions regarding Wednesday's deadline, Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes released this statement:
"Wednesday's deadline is not for counting ballots. Arizona law gives voters until Wednesday to verify their eligibility if they had to cast a Conditional Provisional Ballot. Additionally, a court protected our ability to verify signatures that were dropped off on Election Day and require extra research. That deadline is also on Wednesday. We will likely continue the tabulation of ballots into the weekend," Fontes said.
Officials will update results daily at 5 p.m. until all verified votes are counted. Election results are available at www.Maricopa.Vote. Precinct-level data is available here: https://recorder.maricopa.gov/electionresults/.
