Fontes: 'Remember to mail ballots back by October 31'

PHOENIX—Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes is reminding early voters that October 31 is the last day he recommends mailing a ballot back.  

"We have to receive mail-in ballots by Election Day," Recorder Fontes said. "Getting your ballot in the mail by Oct. 31 helps to ensure it gets to the Elections Department on time."

Mail-in ballots received after 7 p.m. on November 6 will not be counted, even if the postmark predates Election Day.

"If voters miss the recommended deadline, there are still plenty of early voting options," Fontes added.

"Voters can drop-off ballots or vote in person on or before Election Day at any Vote Center," he said. "They can also drop-off their ballots at a Polling Location and skip the line on Election Day!"

Fontes: 'Recuerde enviar las boletas por correo para el 31 de octubre'

PHOENIX—El Registrador del Condado de Maricopa Adrian Fontes está recordando a los votantes que el 31 de octubre es el último día que recomienda para enviar su boleta por correo.

“Tenemos que recibir las boletas por correo antes del día de las elecciones", dijo el Registrador Fontes. "Al enviar su boleta por correo para el 31 de octubre asegura que el Departamento de Elecciones la reciba a tiempo."

Las boletas que se reciban después de las 7 p.m. el 6 de noviembre no se contarán, incluso si el matasellos precede al Día de la Elección. "Si a los votantes se les pasa la fecha limite recomendada, todavía hay muchas opciones para votar temprano", dijo Fontes.

"Los votantes pueden entregar sus boletas o votar en persona en o antes del Día de las Elecciones en cualquier Centro de Votación", dijo Fontes. "¡Tambien pueden entregar sus boletas en un Lugar de Votación sin necesidad de hacer fila el Día de la Elección!"

Para obtener una lista de lugares de votación y horarios de operación, vaya a www.Ubicaciones.Maricopa.Voto. Los votantes pueden rastrear el estado de su boleta temprana al enviar al "Unirse" en un mensaje de texto al 628-683.
