Statement: Maricopa County Recorder’s Office and Elections Department Closed Out the 2018 Primary Election

PHOENIX— Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes released the following statement after presenting the official results of the 2018 Primary Election to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors:

“We canvassed the 2018 Primary Election today, and had a spirited discussion with the Board of Supervisors. We all agreed we can do better. That involves being transparent, taking accountability, and attacking the Election Day challenges head on so that they never happen again. The voter experience is among my top priorities, and with record turnout this election, it is important now more than ever before. My office is committed to learning from its mistakes, moving forward, and making the November General Election work.”

Declaración: El Registro del Condado de Maricopa y Departamento de Elecciones Realizó el Cierre de la Elección Primaria de 2018

PHOENIX- El Registrador del Condado de Maricopa Adrian Fontes hizo pública la siguiente declaración después de presentar los resultados oficiales de la Elección Primaria de 2018 a la Junta de Supervisores del Condado de Maricopa:

“Hoy realizamos el sondeo y certificación de la Elección Primaria 2018, tuvimos una discusión llena de energía con la Junta de Supervisores. Todos estuvimos de acuerdo en que podemos hacerlo mejor. Eso implica ser transparente, responsabilizarse y atacar los desafíos que enfrentamos el Día de la Elección para que nunca vuelvan a suceder. La experiencia del votante es una de mis principales prioridades, y con una participación récord en esta elección, ahora es más importante que nunca. Mi oficina está comprometida a aprender de sus errores, avanzar y hacer que la Elección General de noviembre funcione."
