A month after Maricopa County kicked off its Summer Reading Program,
nearly 65,000 people have already registered to participate! We are proud of
all of our readers for signing up for the Summer Reading Program. Don’t forget
to log your minutes so you can earn points for a free book.
If a parent or
sibling reads to a child – or a child reads to others – that counts too!
And you don’t have to just read books—it can be magazines, online articles,
even information on a cereal box!
More than 2,200 people have taken on my reading challenge. Are
you up for it?
Through August 1, participants can log their summer reading
activities to earn points toward a free Chipotle meal at 500 points (while
supplies last) and a free book of their choice from an online marketplace at
1,000 points.
Participants can earn points for reading (1 minute = 1
point), for attending library events, completing online challenges,
and for participating in community experiences. You can also earn badges for these
activities. Why not have a healthy competition with family and friends to see who
can log the most time this summer?
For more information,
events to attend, and to register, visit https://maricopacountyreads.org/.
