Heat Relief NetworkPeople in need of heat relief this summer can quickly locate cooling centers, respite centers and hydration stations that have signed up with the region’s Heat Relief Network by using the updated Heat Relief Locator on their mobile device. After entering an address, zip code, city or by using their current location, members of the public can view a list of the nearest Heat Relief Network partners, filter by which locations are currently open, and link to Google Maps for directions. Anyone interested in donating bottled water towards regional heat relief efforts can also use the locator to find convenient drop off sites. |
Commute Shed ReportsThe MAG Commute Shed Reports have been updated with the most current data available, from the 2021 MAG Employer database, the Census Bureau's 2017-2021 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates, and the 2020 Census LODES data. These reports show information about employers, workers, and residents within a 30-minute morning commute time to 100 key intersections in the MAG region. The reports can be found in the Arizona Employer map viewer or downloaded directly from the MAG website. |
Regional Workforce Commute ExplorerThe Regional Workforce Commute Explorer has been updated with 2022 Maricopa County Travel Reduction Program (TRP) survey data. This interactive dashboard visualizes commute and workforce data for Maricopa County and specific subregions. It includes data on commute modes, average trip length, and workers by industry or occupation based on where they live and work. |
2023 MAG Maps and Data WorkshopsThe 2023 MAG Maps and Data Workshops are delivered in both in-person and online formats – at the same time! That’s right. All 2023 training sessions are hybrid, but you’ll need to register on Eventbrite for the format in which you want to participate. If you are attending in person, you’ll want to bring your own laptop so you can start bookmarking the sites you love best and get some practice with our custom hands-on exercises during the training. All registered participants, both virtual and in person, will be sent the practice exercises prior to the training. In-person participants will also receive a printout of the exercises. Check out dates and details of our 2023 trainings on our training webpage. (Spoiler alert: the next workshop is Thursday, May 18!) |
