Loop 202 Weekend Restrictions, Long-Term Ramp Closures at McKellips Road
Freeway-widening project continues in East Valley
An improvement project will require lane restrictions and ramp closures along Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) form April 3-8. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following freeway restrictions are in place:

McKellips Road closed underneath Loop 202 to through traffic for traffic reconfiguration nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Saturday (April 4). Detour: Use Alma School or Gilbert roads.

Loop 202 narrowed in both directions to three lanes near the McKellips Road bridge for traffic reconfiguration from 10 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday (April 4).

Dobson Road closed in both directions near Loop 202 for traffic reconfiguration from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday (April 4). Detour: Use Alma School Road.

Loop 202 westbound on- and off-ramps at Dobson Road will be closed for traffic reconfiguration from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday (April 4). Detour: Use Alma School Road.

Loop 202 narrowed in both directions to two lanes near the Dobson Road bridge for traffic reconfiguration from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday (April 4).

Loop 202 northbound/eastbound narrowed to one lane between Broadway and Brown roads for traffic reconfiguration from 10 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday (April 4).

Loop 202 narrowed to two lanes in both directions between Val Vista Drive and Greenfield Road for paving from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday (April 6-8).
Long-Term Ramp Closure
Loop 202 on- and off-ramps at McKellips Road closed Wednesday (April 4) through early October 2015. Detour: Use on- and off-ramps at Alma School Road, Country Club Drive and Gilbert Road.
