The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the eastbound Interstate 10 on-ramp at McCartney Road (exit 190) from 7 p.m. Monday (August 15) to 6 a.m. Tuesday (August 16). In addition, the westbound off-ramp at McCartney Road will close from 7 p.m. Tuesday (August 16) to 6 a.m. Wednesday (August 17).

The following detours will be available during the ramp closures:

On Monday night, motorists on McCartney Road wishing to access eastbound I-10 will be directed to enter westbound I-10 at McCartney Road, then exit on SR 387/Pinal Avenue (exit 185), turn left onto the overpass and re-enter I-10 heading eastbound.

On Tuesday night, motorists traveling on westbound I-10 wishing to exit at McCartney Road will be directed to use the following exit at SR 387/Pinal Avenue (exit 185), turn left onto the overpass and re-enter I-10 heading eastbound to access McCartney Road.

What to expect during the closures:

  • I-10 eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open to traffic during the ramp closures.
  • Signage will direct motorists through the detours.
  • Detours may cause delays of up to 15 minutes.
  • Drivers should proceed through the detours with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

The project schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, material availability and mechanical difficulties.
