North and southbound motorists can use Reems Road as a detour

With the next phase of construction of Loop 303 in Surprise scheduled to begin in August, preliminary work to prepare the construction zone is underway. This includes relocation of overhead utilities -- a task that requires a full closure of Loop 303 between Greenway and Bell Roads this Thursday night, July 28. Both north- and southbound Loop 303 will be closed between Greenway and Bell Roads from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday (July 29) while APS crews move power lines above the roadway. Motorists will use Reems Road as an alternate.
