Temporary barrier will be placed on southbound SR 89 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The Arizona Department of Transportation will place the final temporary concrete barrier tomorrow on southbound State Route 89, between Prescott and Chino Valley, at milepost 324 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to allow crews to safely work on the widening project.

Minimal impacts are expected.

The speed limit at both ends of the project has been set to 45 mph and 55 in the middle of the project.

ADOT advises drivers and bicyclists to proceed through the work zone with caution, comply with the reduced speed limit, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
