Pavement repair work on SR 83 and Sahuarita Road next week

The Arizona Department of Transportation will be closing the southbound lane on State Route 83 at Sahuarita Road, about 3.5 miles south of Interstate 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday (Aug. 26) for pavement repairs.
In addition, Sahuarita Road will be closed to all traffic at SR 83, to access Sahuarita Road traffic will detour north to westbound I-10 and use Wentworth Road (exit 279) south to Sahuarita Road, about a 7.5 mile detour.
The northbound SR 83 lane will remain open and alternate for northbound and southbound traffic. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic through the work zone, and delays are expected.
