Canoa Ranch rest area on northbound Interstate 19 in southern Arizona to temporarily close next week

The northbound Canoa Ranch rest area on Interstate 19 will be closed for approximately one month starting Wednesday, May 22 while the Arizona Department of Transportation installs a commercial truck scale.

The northbound exit ramp at the rest area, located approximately four miles north of the Santa Cruz County line, will close to traffic at 6 a.m. on May 22 and is scheduled to remain closed until late June.

During the closure, ADOT crews will install the truck scale, widen the northbound exit ramp and place new pavement markings.

The southbound Canoa Ranch rest area on I-19 will remain open.
