Work will take place nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning as follows:

  • Drivers may use the eastbound and westbound I-10 frontage road at Wilmot Road to access I-10.
  • Traffic will be directed through the work zone by construction crews.
  • Delays of up to 10 minutes are anticipated.

During the ramp closures, drivers may use the eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps at the adjacent intersections. Message boards and signs will guide drivers through the area.

The work is part of ADOT’s $3.4 million project for continued improvements on I-10 that includes removing the existing top layer of pavement, repairing the concrete pavement beneath the top layer, applying a new, smooth driving surface with rubberized asphalt, installing new roadway markings and reconstructing guardrails along this segment of the highway.

The schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, availability of materials, and mechanical difficulties. ADOT advises drivers to proceed through or near work zones with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
