Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) closed this weekend in Mesa
Crews will install a new electronic message board to aid drivers
Work continues on a freeway improvement project that involves installing new electronic overhead message boards along the Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) in the East Valley. This weekend will be the second of four overnight closures on the Loop 202 for this project. Future closure information will be sent as dates and times are finalized.
This weekend drivers should be aware of the following restrictions:
- Eastbound Loop 202 closed between Country Club Drive and Gilbert Road from 3 a.m. Saturday (June 9) to 5 a.m. Sunday (June 10). DETOUR: Exit at Country Club Drive to eastbound McKellips Road to northbound Gilbert Road to reenter eastbound Loop 202.
