Plan for overnight alternating lane restrictions on SR 87 between Coolidge and Sacaton beginning July 13

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers traveling on SR 87 between Coolidge and Sacaton to expect overnight alternating lane restrictions beginning tonight, July 13, through August 7 for pavement work.

The following restrictions will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays:

  • North- and southbound SR 87 will be narrowed to one lane with alternating lane restrictions between Plateau Road (milepost 150) to Arizona Boulevard (milepost 135).
  • Flaggers will guide traffic through the work zone.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, be prepared to make frequent stops and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
