The Arizona Department of Transportation will have intermittent lane closures on eastbound and westbound Interstate 8 near Thornton Road west of the I-10/I-8 junction in Casa Grande from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily beginning Sunday (Feb. 12) through Tuesday (Feb. 14) to replace utility poles along the highway.
What to expect during work hours:
- Traffic will be restricted to one lane for approximately one quarter mile.
- D.P.S. will be on-site to direct traffic through the work area.
- Speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.
Delays of up to 15 minutes are expected so motorists are urged to plan ahead.
Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
