Travel Alert: Plan for overnight closures of northbound Interstate 19 in Nogales starting Jan. 24

Drivers in Southern Arizona should plan ahead for several nighttime full closures of northbound I-19 - and the ramp to northbound I-19 from State Route 189 - beginning Sunday, Jan. 24.

Northbound I-19 between SR 189 and Grand Avenue will be closed overnight Sunday, Jan. 24, Tuesday, Jan. 26 and Wednesday, Jan. 27. Each closure is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and end by 6 a.m. the following morning.

Detour: Drivers who need to travel north toward Tucson can use the I-19 Frontage Road or Grand Avenue.

Work is occurring in conjunction with the SR 189 improvement project between the international border and Grand Avenue in Nogales.
