Overnight I-17 lane restrictions planned Sunday through Wednesday nights

Overnight closure of Pinnacle Peak Road at I-17 planned Monday and Tuesday nights

Drivers who use Interstate 17 in north Phoenix should slow down in the construction zone and use caution while the following restrictions are in place.

Closures and restrictions through Oct. 21

Interstate 17 from Pinnacle Peak to Happy Valley roads

North- and southbound I-17 will have overnight lane restrictions from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22.

  • Northbound I-17 will be restricted to one lane nightly on Sunday (Oct. 18) through Wednesday (Oct. 21) nights.
  • Southbound I-17 will be restricted to one lane nightly on Sunday (Oct. 18) through Wednesday (Oct. 21) nights.

 Pinnacle Peak Road at Interstate 17

Eastbound Pinnacle Peak Road will be closed between 29th and I-17 from 11 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 18) until 5 a.m. Monday (Oct. 19).

  • Detour: Drivers may use 19th or 35th Avenues to Deer Valley Road for westbound travel.

Westbound Pinnacle Peak Road will be closed between 23rd Avenue and I-17 from 11 p.m. Monday (Oct. 19) until 5 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 20).

  • Detour: Drivers may use 19th or 35th avenues to Deer Valley Road for westbound travel.

Ongoing closure 

The northbound frontage road is closed from Charlotte Drive to the I-17 Happy Valley Road off-ramp until 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 2).  The northbound I-17 Happy Valley Road off-ramp will remain open. 

  • Detour: Traffic can use Charlotte Drive west to 23rd Avenue to access Happy Valley Road.
