Overnight pavement improvement work to limit I-10 near Gila River Bridge south of Chandler next week

Monday through Thursday night repairs will narrow highway to one lane in either direction

Overnight pavement repair work will narrow Interstate 10 to one lane in either direction next week near the Gila River Bridge south of Chandler, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The crack-sealing work between the Gila River Bridge and the Casa Blanca Road (SR 587) exit will restrict I-10 (mileposts 173-176).

What to expect during construction:

  • Eastbound I-10 narrowed to one lane from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights (Jan. 30 - 31).
  • Westbound I-10 narrowed to one lane from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights (Feb. 1 - 2).
  • Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
  • Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

The project schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, material availability and mechanical difficulties.
