Crews removing barrier from SR 51, setting barrier on Loop 101; wall painting scheduled next week near I-10 and 7th AvenuePHOENIX – Crews building noise-mitigation walls in conjunction with the Maricopa Regional Sound Wall Project are scheduled to remove temporary barrier from one location and set it at a second location tonight. Drivers who use Loop 101 in north Phoenix and State Route 51 should watch for these overnight restrictions:

Southbound State Route 51 off-ramp at Greenway Road closed from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday (Jan. 13) as crews remove temporary barrier. DETOUR: Exit at Bell or Thunderbird roads instead.

Westbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Seventh Street and two westbound travel lanes closed from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday (Jan. 13) while crews set temporary barrier for sound wall work. DETOUR: Exit at Cave Creek Road and use westbound Beardsley Road.
At the sound wall location near downtown Phoenix, crews will paint the residential side of the wall on Moreland Street between 7th and 11th avenues Monday (Jan. 16) through Friday (Jan. 20). Local residents should expect painters on site from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. No parking will be permitted on Moreland Street during work hours. Details are available here.
