Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) Improvement Project
Interstate 17 to Pima Road: Roadway closures June 28 – July 3

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers on the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following closures are scheduled to be in place:

WEEKEND CLOSURES

Pima Freeway, from State Route 51 to 56th Street

• The eastbound Pima Freeway will be closed between SR 51 and 56th Street from 10 p.m. Friday, June 28, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1.

The following freeway ramps will also be closed during the eastbound freeway closure:

• The northbound SR 51 ramps (both general-purpose and HOV) to the eastbound Pima Freeway.
• The northbound SR 51 on-ramp at Union Hills Drive.
• The eastbound Pima Freeway on-ramps at Cave Creek Road and Tatum Boulevard.

 Seventh Street at the Pima Freeway

• Seventh Street will be closed in both directions between the Pima Freeway frontage roads from 10 p.m. Friday, June 28, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1.

OVERNIGHT CLOSURES

Scottsdale Road at the Pima Freeway

• North-and southbound Scottsdale Road will be closed between Mayo Boulevard and the westbound Pima Freeway frontage road from 9 p.m. Monday, July 1, to 5 a.m. Tuesday,   July 2, and from 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 3.

Upcoming Closures

15th Avenue bridge at the Pima Freeway

• The 15th Avenue bridge over the Pima Freeway will be closed to north- and southbound traffic beginning Monday, July 8, through late 2020 to reconstruct the bridge and make other improvements.

Scottsdale Road at the Pima Freeway

• North-and southbound Scottsdale Road will be closed between Mayo Boulevard and the westbound Pima Freeway frontage road nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, July 8, through the morning of Friday, July 12.
