TRAVEL ALERT: Plan for nighttime westbound I-10 restrictions at Jackrabbit Trail on May 16

Travelers who use Interstate 10 (Papago Freeway) and Jackrabbit Trail traffic interchange in the far West Valley should expect ramp closures and lane restrictions on Thursday night, May 16.  The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions while lane striping improvement operations are underway:

  • Westbound I-10 off- and on-ramps at Jackrabbit Trail are closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, May 16 to 5 a.m. Friday, May 17.
  • Jackrabbit Trail is closed in both directions between I-10 and McDowell Road.
  • Eastbound I-10 traffic exiting at Jackrabbit Trail will be limited to right turns (to southbound Jackrabbit Trail).
  • Northbound Jackrabbit Trail traffic will have access to the eastbound I-10 on-ramp.
  • Drivers may use Perryville Road as a temporary detour.

ADOT reminds motorists to use caution around construction personnel and equipment, slow down and be prepared to merge into the open travel lane.
