The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are in place during the week of May 13:
-
16th Street at Loop 101: Northbound 16th Street will be reduced to one lane between the westbound and eastbound frontage roads from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, May 14-17.
-
19th Avenue at Loop 101: The Loop 101 eastbound on-ramp at 19th Avenue will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, May 14-17.
-
Scottsdale Road at Loop 101: Both northbound Scottsdale Road left-turn lanes to westbound Loop 101 will be closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, to 5 a.m. Thursday, May 16, and from 9 p.m. Thursday, May 16, to 5 a.m. Friday, May 17.
- Consider using northbound Hayden Road or 64th Street to access westbound Loop 101.
The restrictions are needed as work continues on a two-year project to add new travel lanes on a 13-mile segment of Loop 101, between Interstate 17 in Phoenix and Princess Drive/Pima Road in Scottsdale.
