Lane closures on State Route 71 between US 60 and State Route 89 in Yavapai County scheduled to begin April 15

Drivers should use caution and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for lane closures on north- and southbound State Route 71 between the junction with US 60 (milepost 85) and the junction with SR 89 (milepost 110) while a pavement-repair project is underway.

The work is scheduled to occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, April 15, through Wednesday, April 17.

  • SR 71 will be narrowed to one lane during daytime operations.
  • Flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone during daytime operations.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
