Northbound I-17 restricted Thursday night, Jan. 10, in north Phoenix

Some ramps between I-17 and Loop 101 also closed at night this week

Drivers who use northbound Interstate 17 approaching or traveling north of Loop 101 in north Phoenix should prepare for lane restrictions or ramp closures on Thursday night, Jan. 10, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

 

In addition, the westbound Loop 101 ramp to northbound I-17 will be closed Friday night, Jan. 11, for freeway lighting maintenance work.

 

The following restrictions are scheduled:

 

  • Northbound I-17 narrowed to two lanes overnight between Loop 101 and Jomax Road from 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, to 5 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, for temporary barrier-wall installation. The northbound I-17 on-ramp at Deer Valley Road will be closed. Please allow extra travel time and plan on using other nearby ramps.

  • Northbound I-17 ramp to eastbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) closed overnight from 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, to 5 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, for freeway lighting maintenance. Consider exiting northbound I-17 at Union Hills Drive or Rose Garden Lane/Deer Valley Road and traveling east to 19th Avenue to access eastbound Loop 101.

  • Westbound Loop 101 ramp to northbound I-17 closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, to 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, for freeway lighting maintenance. Consider exiting westbound Loop 101 at 19th Avenue and traveling north to westbound Deer Valley Road to access northbound I-17.
