TRAVEL ALERT: Intermittent delays on US 95 in Yuma scheduled for Dec. 11

Military testing requires full closures during afternoon and evening hours

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises Yuma drivers to plan for temporary closures and delays on US 95 Tuesday, Dec. 11. The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground is scheduled to conduct military testing that will require road closures in 30-minute intervals to ensure public safety.

  • Closures are scheduled to take place between Aberdeen Road (milepost 48) and milepost 68, 20 miles north of Aberdeen Road.
  • US 95 will be closed in both directions between 4 and 4:30 p.m., 5 and 5:30 p.m. and from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic. Drivers are asked to used caution, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around public safety personnel and equipment.
