UPDATE: Pinal Air Park Road over Interstate 10 set to close Dec. 3

Lane closures also set to begin on I-10

The Pinal Air Park Road bridge over Interstate 10 northwest of Marana is scheduled to close to all traffic starting at 7 p.m. the night of Monday, Dec. 3, for a bridge rehabilitation project.

The bridge is expected to remain closed for about four months to allow crews to replace the bridge deck and repair steel girders.

Motorists should also plan for lane closures and traffic shifts on I-10 near Pinal Air Park Road starting the night of Dec. 3.

I-10 will be reduced to one lane in each direction each night Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. The closures are necessary so crews can complete the bridge work safely. Outside of these hours, I-10 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction.

During the Pinal Air Park Road bridge closure, motorists traveling between westbound I-10 and Pinal Air Park Road will need to use the Marana Road or Red Rock exit depending on their direction of travel.
