ADOT conducting fog seal along US 60 near Show Low

Drivers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes

US 60 work zone

PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Transportation will be revitalizing a 23-mile stretch of US 60 southwest of Show Low with an oil flush beginning Monday, June 4. Drivers heading to the area should prepare for delays while crews work.

ADOT crews will work along US 60 in 5-mile segments beginning at milepost 311 from Monday evening through early Friday, June 8.

One lane will be closed and workers will flag traffic through the work zone using a pilot car. Drivers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes while work is occurring.

Work will take place overnights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the week.

Fog sealing is a process by which crews apply oil to restore flexibility to a road surface, helping extend its life.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
