Deer Valley Road closed south of Grand Avenue (US 60) early next week for maintenance work

A section of Deer Valley Road near Grand Avenue (US 60) in the Surprise area will be closed early next week for a cattle guard replacement project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers should allow extra travel time and use the available detour route while the following restriction is in place:

Deer Valley Road south of Grand Avenue will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26. Crews expect to reopen the roadway by Wednesday night after the cattle guard replacement work is completed. Detour: Drivers can access Deer Valley Road by using 163rd Avenue and the Grand Avenue frontage road.
