Loop 101 eastbound closed overnight between Cave Creek Road and State Route 51 beginning Sunday (Dec. 13)

Black Mountain Boulevard bridge work continues on Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) in the East Valley. Drivers can expect the following overnight restrictions Sunday (Dec. 13):

Eastbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) closed overnight between Cave Creek Rd. and State Route 51 (SR 51) for bridge work. Loop 101 eastbound on-ramps at Seventh St. and Cave Creek Rd. also closed. Loop 101 westbound HOV lane closed near SR 51. DETOUR: Traffic exiting at Cave Creek Rd. will detour south and use eastbound Union Hills Dr. to northbound SR 51 to reconnect with Loop 101.

9 p.m. Sunday - 5 a.m. Monday (Dec. 14)

Note: After midnight Sunday night, crews plan to open Loop 101 eastbound to the ramp to SR 51 southbound. Loop 101 eastbound traffic will detour to SR 51 southbound and can use eastbound Union Hills Dr. to northbound Tatum Blvd. to connect with Loop 101.

Black Mountain Boulevard construction includes the ramp connections to SR 51 and portions of Black Mountain Boulevard, including related features, north to Pinnacle Peak Road. Funding for the segment between SR51/101L Interchange to Deer Valley Road was approved by the voters through Proposition 400 in late 2004.
