New VFC Vaccine Presentations Available

Beginning March 2023, an additional Rotavirus vaccine will be available for ordering in ASIIS. GSK will be transitioning to this new presentation as their sole Rotavirus vaccine. Once the inventory is depleted in the warehouse, Rotarix, NDC 58160-0854-52 will no longer be available to order.

Indications and Usage

Rotarix is a vaccine indicated for the prevention of rotavirus gastroenteritis caused by G1 and non-G1 types (G3, G4, and G9) when administered as a 2-dose series. Rotarix is FDA-approved for use in infants from 6 weeks and up to 24 weeks of age.  

The CDC recommends that the last dose of Rotarix should be given no older than 8 months, 0 days.

Due to a short-term supply issue with VAQTA® single-dose syringes, beginning March 2023, VAQTA® single-dose vials will be available for ordering in ASIIS.

Indications and Usage

VAQTA® is indicated for the prevention of disease caused by hepatitis A virus (HAV) in persons 12 months of age and older. The primary dose should be given at least 2 weeks prior to expected exposure to HAV.

Single-dose vials (SDV) 10-pack, NDC: 00006-4831-41 

Single-dose syringes (SDS) 10-pack, NDC: 00006-4095-02 (limited supply)
