COVID Vaccine for 1A

News Release Header

Thank you for your interest in receiving COVID vaccine.

Maricopa County is beginning to transition into Phase 1B. January 10th is the last day that registration will be open only to healthcare workers.  Please visit podvaccine.azdhs.gov before January 11, search for appointment dates between 1/11-1/29, and choose your Maricopa site. If no appointment slots are available for the date selected, choose another date within that range.

If you have already received your first dose, please schedule your SECOND DOSE:

You’ll need to log in to the portal using your existing name and password used to make your first appointment. If you were a walk-in and did not use an email, you can create a profile from the home page.

If you have not scheduled your first dose, you are encouraged to schedule by January 10th

You will need to create a new account in the AZDHS portal, using a personal email that is not a school or work email and does not end in COX.NET.

You must make an appointment to get vaccinated at a POD. There are no walk-ins allowed.

Accessing the AZDHS Scheduling Portal

  • Please visit podvaccine.azdhs.gov (it works best in Firefox and Chrome ) and either login using the same email and password as you did to schedule your first vaccine, or create a new account if this is your first dose.
  • When selecting your date and location, look for dates where you see Maricopa_Chandler_Dignity_2 or Maricopa_Goodyear_Abrazo_2 (if this is your 2nd dose, please choose the location where you received your first vaccine).
  • Your site is in Maricopa County (not Snowflake, Globe or Show Low). If you do not see a Maricopa site, select a different date, or try the troubleshooting tips at Maricopa.gov/COVID19vaccine1A.
  • You will only be allowed to schedule a second-dose appointment 21 days or more after your first dose of vaccine*.

*While our goal for second dose administration is as close as possible to 21 days, your second dose appointment may be made later than 21 days. According to ACIP/CDC recommendations, the second dose should be administered as close to the recommended interval as possible; however, there is no maximum interval between the first and second dose for either vaccine.

PODs will open up to some Phase 1B partners as early as January 11, 2021

Thank you for helping stop the spread of COVID 19 in our community!
