Overloading - too heavy or too full
Important reminder - putting too much trash or recycling items into your bins is dangerous for you and our drivers. It may result in skipped service that week since we were not able to safely empty the bins.
To ensure your trash and recycling is picked up each week:
- Please do not overload your trash or recycle cart. The lid should close.
- Please do not fill the cart with rocks, soil, manure, concrete or construction debris.
If your home regularly generates more trash than can fit into one bin, you can request a second cart for a small monthly fee. Please call customer service at 623-349-6100 to request an additional trash cart.
Monsoon - rain will come
The Monsoon season is coming! Please remember to not play or wade in standing stormwater since you don't know what lurks beneath it.
Please also remember to pick up pet droppings and bag and tie all trash.
Monsoon tips:
- Thin your trees before a storm to decrease the risk of broken branches and fallen trees.
- Avoid mosquito breeding by draining containers that hold water to avoid attracting mosquitos.

Waste Wizard
There's an online tool to answer your common questions about trash service.
The tool can help with everything from looking up proper disposal methods to learning about trash, recycling, bulk trash schedules and more.
To find out more, visit the Waste Wizard on the city's website.
Roadway Improvement
Street maintenance is necessary to keep traffic flowing safely. It may cause a minor inconvenience as road construction and detours can be a challenge, but it is a small price to pay for keeping our roads in the best shape possible.
Thank you for your patience and for any temporary parking inconvenience during these maintenance activities. For the latest road work activity, please visit our Roadway Improvements page.
Thank you for your assistance as we all work together to:
Help Keep Buckeye Clean
Sincerely,
Robert van den Akker Public Works Department, Environmental Manager
