HOMICIDE UPDATE
Additional Suspect Arrested in Fort Smith Homicide Investigation; Jasmine Johnston Remains at Large
Fort Smith, AR - An additional suspect has been arrested in connection with the homicide investigation stemming from an incident that occurred on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in the 5300 block of Elm Street.
During the investigation, Fort Smith Police developed Donny Warner as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest on charges of First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery.
With assistance from several law enforcement agencies, Warner was located in LeFlore County, Oklahoma, and taken into custody. He was transported to the LeFlore County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition.
Jasmine Ashanti Johnston remains at large and is wanted for First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery. She should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts should not approach her and is asked to dial 911, or contact the Fort Smith Police Department at 479-709-5000.

We also thank the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office, Sebastian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Panama Police Department, Arkansas State Police, and the Special Investigators of the District 16 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force in LeFlore County for their assistance.
This remains an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and as the investigation allows.
