ARREST RELEASE

Suspicious Activity Investigation Leads to Arrest, Recovery of Evidence

Fort Smith, AR — A suspicious activity investigation in the 1900 block of South H Street resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old man and the recovery of evidence potentially connected to multiple theft investigations.

Officers initially responded after discovering a small fire and items believed to be associated with possible theft-related activity. Detectives and Arkansas Community Correction Parole officers were notified and began a follow-up investigation.

During the investigation, officers made contact with Kash Knight, 24, who was taken into custody on outstanding warrants without incident.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the recovery of evidence that may be connected to additional theft investigations. Night was transported to the Fort Smith Police Department for an interview with detectives before being booked into the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
