SPECIAL EVENT

Fort Smith Police to Participate in River Valley Cycling Club Group's Community Bicycle Safety Event at Riverfront Park

Fort Smith, AR - The Fort Smith Police Department will participate in a community bicycle safety event on April 25, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Riverfront Park.

The event is being organized by the department’s Bicycle Unit in partnership with the hosting body River Valley Cycling, a local cycling club that has provided safety equipment for distribution at the event.

Activities will include:

• Bicycle cone courses
• Safety education stations
• Distribution of free safety equipment, including helmets and bicycle lights (while supplies last)

The event is geared toward school-aged children and their parents, but all members of the public are welcome to attend.

The Fort Smith Police Department’s Community Relations Unit is also expected to be on site with the department’s “Scribble Car.”
