Update: Shooting in the 2800 block of Independence Street

Fort Smith, AR -The Fort Smith Police Department is investigating a double shooting that occurred in the 2800 block of Independence Street. The shooting resulted in the death of 48 year old Mark Bell and 46 year old Deevelyn Bell. Their bodies have been sent to the state crime lab. Again, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to the community. This is still an active investigation.
