ARREST NOTICE

One juvenile arrested for online threats

Fort Smith, AR - On Friday, Aug. 29, Fort Smith Police learned of an online threat that had been made towards a Northside High School student. Following a thorough investigation, one 16-year-old male was arrested at a residence in Van Buren and charged with one count of threatening to commit an act of mass violence on school property. We would like to extend our gratitude to the United States Marshals Service, Fort Smith Public Schools Police Department, Van Buren Police Department, and Sebastian County Prosecutor's Office for their cooperation and assistance in bringing this case to a swift and peaceful conclusion.
