COMMUNITY NOTICE

Fort Smith Police Department to Host Car Seat Safety Event

Fort Smith, AR — The Fort Smith Police Department will be hosting a special car seat event to enhance public safety and promote awareness about child safety seat restraints. The event will take place on Aug. 23, at Kay Rodgers Park in Fort Smith.

Certified car seat technicians will check for proper fit, the expiration date, and for correct install of your car seats. The event will run from 8 AM-12 PM.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to ensure their children's car seats are correctly installed and meet safety standards. This event is part of the department's ongoing efforts to educate the community on child safety and reduce preventable injuries caused by improper car seat use.
