SHOOTING INCIDENT UPDATE

North 7th and North 8th Streets

Fort Smith, AR - On the evening of Friday, May 2, Fort Smith Police were called to the scene of a shooting incident that occurred in the area of North 7th and North 8th Streets.

Upon arrival, Officers located one individual with an apparent gunshot-related injury. That individual was transported for medical care, but died later from his injuries. Further investigation revealed the gunshot to be self-inflicted.
