ARREST NOTICE
Fort Smith Man Arrested Following Monthlong Investigation into Multiple Sex Offenses
Fort Smith, AR - Following a nearly monthlong investigation, the Fort Smith Police Department has arrested local doctor Ladaryl M. Lankford, 46, on multiple charges related to repeated sexual offenses that occurred between January 1, 2016, and March 30, 2025.
Lankford is charged with the felonies of rape, sexual assault in the second degree, possession or use of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another, and video voyeurism. Multiple victims have been identified during the investigation, including a juvenile known to the offender.
The investigation was initiated after a victim bravely came forward to report the offenses on March 30, 2025. Detectives worked diligently to corroborate the information, resulting in the charges filed today.
Lankford is being held at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center on a $500,000 legally sufficient bond with additional bond conditions in place.
We would like to thank the Sebastian County Prosecutor's Office and United States Marshals Service for their assistance on this case. We are especially grateful to the victim who had the courage to come forward, and we remain committed to pursuing justice for all victims involved.
