HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT UPDATE

ARREST MADE, 39-YEAR-OLD FAUSTO LEON-MORALES

Fort Smith, AR — Fort Smith Police have arrested 39-year-old Fausto Leon-Morales in connection to the hit-and-run accident that occurred on Sunday, Nov. 24. The victim was transported to a hospital out of the area and is reported to be stable but with serious injuries requiring surgery.

Following an interview, Mr. Leon-Morales was taken to the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held with no bond. He is facing charges of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. The investigation remains ongoing. More information may be released when available and appropriate.
