SUSPECT INFORMATION

SUBJECT WITH FIREARM INCIDENT UNDER INVESTIGATION, 6550 ROGERS AVENUE

Fort Smith, AR - On the morning of Nov. 21 at approximately 10:38 AM, the Fort Smith Police Department responded to a report of a subject with a firearm at Buffalo Wild Wings, 6550 Rogers Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined that at least one shot had been fired at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

Victims and witnesses informed officers that the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Loren Nelson of Franklin County, entered the establishment with a firearm, allegedly in search of his ex-spouse. Nelson had left the scene prior to the officers' arrival and is not currently believed to be within the city limits of Fort Smith. He is traveling in a 2010 Black Toyota Corolla bearing Arkansas 427 ZSW.

The Fort Smith Police Department is actively investigating the incident and working with witnesses to gather further details. Anyone with information about Mr. Nelson’s whereabouts or this incident is encouraged to contact the Fort Smith Police Department at 479-709-5000.

If you encounter Mr. Nelson, do not approach him. He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
