SEPT. 11 HIT-AND-RUN UPDATE

Fort Smith Police Seek Public's Assistance in Sept. 11 Hit-and-Run

Fort Smith, AR — The Fort Smith Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a serious injury collision that occurred on September 11, at approximately 7:23 PM.

The accident took place at the intersection of Belle Avenue and Grand Avenue. A dark gray or brown GMC Acadia struck a motorcycle, resulting in serious injuries to the motorcyclist. The suspect vehicle fled the scene northbound on Belle from Grand. Photos were taken by a witness at the scene and submitted to aid the investigation.

Witnesses describe the driver as a white female with blonde hair. The GMC Acadia is expected to have noticeable damage to the front passenger side, specifically from contact with the motorcycle's saddlebag.

Photos of a vehicle matching the suspect's description are attached to this release. We are actively seeking any information that could lead to the identification and location of the suspect and vehicle involved.
