SCAM ALERT

Attorney impersonation

Fort Smith, AR - Fort Smith Police have been made aware of an attorney impersonation scam in which a victim was informed by a suspect that their family member was in an accident and had been arrested. The suspect told the individual that they would obtain the family member's release for a certain amount of money.

Please note that reputable attorneys will not engage in this type of conduct. Please be aware of this, and report any such calls to Fort Smith Police at 479-709-5000.
