Two arrests made in 'Operation Nab-a-Grinch'

FORT SMITH, AR - On Dec. 19, 2023, Fort Smith Police arrested two individuals on charges of package theft, a felony punishable by up to six years in prison. As part of Operation Nab-a-Grinch, the joint task force of FSPD and the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, FSPD Officers arrested Bettie Nunn, 22, and Mary Dieringer, 28, and booked them on their charges at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released when available and appropriate. Please note that all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven otherwise.
