Since the opening of the first state parks in Alabama, trails have been a fundamental part of the park system’s mission to provide and maintain outdoor recreational opportunities. Because of this, we created the Dirt Pass Trail Crew Program in 2016. This program is a way to voluntarily donate $35 per year to help support our efforts to improve our trail system. Your money goes directly to the maintenance, enhancement
and planning of the Alabama State Parks trails system. Starting this year, all Dirt Pass membership donations will be handled online and each donating Dirt Pass member will receive a cool, new Trail Crew t-shirt to show your pride in our program.
Don't
forget to purchase a new Alabama State Parks car tag in 2018. Last
names that begin with the letters C and E renew during the month of March.
Last names names that begin with F, G and N renew in April. This is a new form of
much needed revenue for us. Yet another great reason why the Amendment 2
victory was so important to us. Now, this money stays where it belongs-at the
parks. Watch the video.
