In recent years more than $15 million has been transferred out of the Parks budget and into the General Fund. During the last legislative session we received long overdue support and Amendment 2 was born. This Amendment will appear on the general election ballot on November 8th. The language on the ballot will be a bit complicated, but it will basically ask, “Do you want to protect the funding of the Alabama State Parks System?” Now more than ever we need all Alabamians to know and understand that Amendment 2 will prevent future budget transfers and keep the money where it belongs - at the Parks. |
