FAI has recently fielded complaints about users conducting engine runs in non-approved locations. Please see the FAI Operational Order below on approved engine run up locations and share with employees and users as appropriate. Thanks for your cooperation in keeping our airfield safe. .

 4.5 ENGINE RUN-UPS

Engine run-ups (above idle) are not permitted on any apron or ramp area. Engine run-ups are permitted only at the following designated engine run-up locations, as shown in Map 4-2.

Light aircraft may conduct extended, high power engine runs only in the areas designated above.

NOTE: the Bravo run-up is not to be used for “maintenance only” run-ups.
